28 Weeks Later Movie Release Promotion
28 Weeks Later
Client Brief
With the upcoming release of the hit movie sequel 28 Weeks Later, we were approached to supply 2 self-drive branded vans for a one week national campaign. The vehicles had to be:
- Low Budget
- Identical
- White
- Currently un-branded, but with the ability to brand
- Self-drive by promotion staff
- Delivered/Collectable in/around the London area
Process
We contacted several of our London based suppliers and within 2 days we had negotiated rates for 2 vehicles that complied with the clients brief
Once the vehicles were known the next stage was to arrange for the vehicles to be branded to client specifications, on this occasion the client provided the artwork, which was uploaded to our FTP site for processing.
The artwork was reviewed by our printers and costs given for printing the vinyl and branding the vans at the Cirencester branding depot
Van collection, branding were arranged for the start date
Problems/Resolutions
One of the vehicles was involved in a minor accident at the beginning of the promotion, other than the inevitable insurance claim, which we assisted in keeping the costs to a bare minimum, the incident resulted in the rear access door jamming shut and the speedometer to stop working.
We quickly arranged for the vehicle to be delivered to a nearby dealership where the problems were resolved.
Part way through the promotion one of the drivers had to return home, unfortunately the client was unable to arrange a replacement driver and requested our assistance.
Within 3 hours of their request our replacement driver had arrived in Newcastle to continue the tour.
It should be noted that due to our rapid response, the above incidents had no impact on the promotion timetable.
Please note: Self drive vehicles are not always an option, due to various constraints, including both insurance and driving licence regulations, however we do were possible make this arrangement if requested
