RSP14 is a Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL Double Decker bus, originally operating as a London service bus, prior to being bought by Maplin Electronics and converted in to a promotional bus, used to promote new store openings.
Maplin soon found that managing a double decker bus wasn’t as simple as first thought and we took over management, via our vehicle management service and subsequent upgrade, via our vehicle conversion and vehicle branding services, in 2015
By 2016 Maplin decided that they no longer wished to operate the vehicle, which we then acquired and subsequently put a new interior, more suited to general hire requirements.
In addition the vehicle is the first and probably one of the most Green buses in the fleet, with 1kw of solar panels fitted to the roof and a bank of leisure batteries charged by the movement of the bus.
